Lady with Pretty Eyes - Part 2

Yes!!

My dear readers would probably remember this post Lady with pretty eyes...

I met her again in the bus today, and I spoke to her too!!!

Woohoo!! :D

Well, we had both changed the bus route to office, and today I was trying my best to sleep in the bus. When I opened my eyes , I saw a lady was sitting next to me. And she was none other than the same lady with pretty eyes !!

I opened my earlier post in this blog on my cellphone, then I asked her if she used to commute on the older route we both used to take. She said 'yes'.

Then, gathering all my courage, I told her that I had written a post about her in my blog and gave my cellphone to her to read the post.

As she started to read it, I blurted 'Please don't slap me' ...

Sheesh!!

She read it, with a smile on her face, then I apologized to her if I had offended her, she said no !

:)

Then she asked if I used to get down at Domlur bus stop on earlier route and said she had actually noticed me (Big grin on my face ... he he he)

Now I know her name, where she works ...

We then spoke about weather, politics, cricket and life in general...

Rest of the journey , neither of us spoke :(

And I even forgot to say 'Bye' when I got down from the bus :(

Well, any way, I am happy :D

You can bet that I am going to take the same bus tomorrow.

Lady with pretty eyes ...

I see her almost everyday at the bus stop. Well, days when I am not late ...

To say the least she's got very pretty eyes. She gets down one stop before mine. She mostly wears jeans and a tee-shirt ... and listens to FM on her silver color cellphone.

I manage to get into the same bus as she does. Most of the time. Whenever possible, I stare at her eyes. I mean stare, not just look once in a while. Well, I am kinda known for my 'staring' in friends circle. :-)

She didn't notice me for quite a few days ... But recently she did. Now once in a while she looks at me, sees that I am staring at her, she would immediately look down or somewhere else. This makes my journey to office very interesting :-)

I am very sure that she thinks of me as a creepy guy, who stares at her. And I have no problems with that.

I want to try this once: write 'Hi' on sheet of paper, and hold it, so that she can see it next time she looks back at me. I am not sure if I really have guts to do that, but it would be very interesting.

Unimaginable ...

It was just another lazy Sunday afternoon. I had just left home, heading to my uncle's place for lunch. That's the best part of weekends, I can go to my relatives place and have yummy lunch :)

So, I was on my bike, dodging through the usual Sunday traffic on DVG road. I wasn't going too fast or neither slow. If you ever been on that road, you would definitely know how narrow that road is and how the pedestrians walk on the road instead of "oh so lovely footpaths". And not to mention the parking on the one side of the road.

Everything was fine, I was occasionally looking at the big cars parked and their owners wearing shiny sunglasses. I just couldn't figure out why would people buy such big cars and drive them in these narrow roads, then fight in the middle of the road for the occasional scratches 'cause of the minor accidents.

Anyways,I was somewhere near the junction next to 'Ice Thunder' and suddenly a woman almost ran into my bike from one of those gaps between the parked cars. I had no choice but to apply the brakes and try to avoid hitting that 30 something lady. But you know about the drum brakes, you need to apply the brakes almost 10 meters before if you want to stop the bike where you want. I just couldn't avoid the collision, I ended up hitting my bike to that lady and my bike fell on the road.

I had invariably shouted 'Aunteeeee ...' before colliding my bike, just to get her attention.

I guess she was around 30, wearing a flashy salwar kameez, well built.

Me shouting 'Aunteeeee ...', bike making a screeching sound before kissing the ground, a thin guy with an 'Iron Maiden' T-Shirt and a lady who got hit by that bike. More than enough for getting the attention of all people nearby. The shop keepers, pedestrians, and some fellow bikers all gathered around the scene.

There was me, holding my helmet in one hand, not knowing what to do, wondering what will happen next. I noticed that she wasn't hurt, but there might be a small bruise or something on her leg.

I started thinking, this is going to be the most embarrassing/ may be painful moment in my life. Have you ever observed, in these kind of situations how time goes so slowly? Every seconds seems like an year, and you just stand there, stranded .

I was expecting a tight slap on my cheek, or some sarcastic advice on how to ride a bike. Any thing was possible.

I looked at her. I could see her face changing from shock, then to scared, then to normal and then there was pure hatred.

She stared at me, looking deep in to my eyes. Then she said, something which I had never imagined, before leaving the scene of crime ...

She said, 'DON'T call me Aunty'.

Ehh.

*Twilight*

It's 11 AM. Cubicle two rows next to him is still empty.
Is she on leave today? Is something wrong?

She is very pretty. Atleast for him. The curly short hair, sparkling shine in the eyes... He found them very sweet. Very very sweet.

He could still remember the day he met her. In a team meeting.

It was raining. Heavy mansoon rain. He came late to the meeting. His clothes were wet. A sheepish grin on the face, He uttered a couple of words of apology...

"This is Sandhya, new member of our team..." Thats all he heard... He was lost in the worls where there were only him and Sandhya...

"This is Arun. BackBone of our Development team..." He came back... Again a sheepish grin...It took couple of seconds for him to utter "Hello..."

Just what the Doctor ordered. Training her on the new application became his responsibility. Usual "I-Hate-Giving-Training" guy took a U-turn to "I-Am-All-For-Spreading-Knowledge" Guy.

He took great interest in the training, in her, rather... Did she notice it?
She was bright. Training was over in a week. After that she seldom spoke to him.

It was just "Hi, Good Morning..."
"Hi, Hows work?" all the time...

He wanted to know more about her. Her interests. Her life. everything... anything...

"Are you alright Dude?" Question from the guy in the next cubicle...
Sheepish Grin again... "Fine, Just kinda sleepy... hehehe..." Stupid people, will never leave you alone...

11:30.

No signs of her.
Even the code he was scribbling didn't show any signs of moving to the next line...

For too long he has been alone. But he is not desperate. He could wait.
For too long he has been waiting. But he ain't giving up. He could wait.

Days seem very long. Code that he needs to finish seems very long. The World is meaning less. Isn't it?

"Hi, Morning"... He looked up... there she was, wishing someone near the door...
That smile, Sparkle in the eyes, small sweat drops on the forehead... He came back to life. Again.

He smiled at her. She smiled back. He watched her till she sat in her chair.

There was Spring in the air. Suddenly Life had all the meaning.

"Oh there it is. Missing quotes..." He showed the mistake in the code to the Guy in the next Cubicle.

The Same story repeats every day. Will he ever ask her out? Will ever Sun meet Dusk?
Well, I just wish them luck.
